Sophia Hutchins and Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner is engaged to Sophia Hutchins, his/her BFF and 47 years his/her junior.

Hmmm. Is it strange that Bruce Jenner transitions to Caitlyn Jenner and then dates and gets engaged to a guy who is also transitioning to a woman?

This craziness has been around a lot longer than people realize...

Because Sporus reminded Nero of his late wife Poppaea Sabina
(who he kicked to death while she was pregnant).

Besides the abuse of free-born lads, and the debauch of married women, he committed a rape upon Rubria, a Vestal Virgin. He was upon the point of marrying Acte, his freedwoman, having suborned some men of consular rank to swear that she was of royal descent. He gelded the boy Sporus, and endeavoured to transform him into a woman. He even went so far as to marry him, with all the usual formalities of a marriage settlement, the rose-coloured nuptial veil, and a numerous company at the wedding. When the ceremony was over, he had him conducted like a bride to his own house, and treated him as his wife. It was jocularly observed by some person, "that it would have been well for mankind, had such a wife fallen to the lot of his father Domitius." This Sporus he carried about with him in a litter round the solemn assemblies and fairs of Greece, and afterwards at Rome through the Sigillaria, dressed in the rich attire of an empress; kissing him from time to time as they rode together. (Suetonius, The Twelve Caesars, Nero, XXVIII).
Now Nero called Sporus "Sabina" not merely because, owing to his resemblance to her he had been made a eunuch, but because the boy, like the mistress, had been solemnly married to him in Greece, Tigellinus giving the bride away, as the law ordained. All the Greeks held a celebration in honour of their marriage, uttering all the customary good wishes, even to the extent of praying that legitimate children might be born to them. After that Nero had two bedfellows at once, Pythagoras to play the rôle of husband to him, and Sporus that of wife. The latter, in addition to other forms of address, was termed "lady," "queen," and "mistress." Yet why should one wonder at this, seeing that Nero would fasten naked boys and girls to stakes, and then putting on the hide of a wild beast would attack them and satisfy his brutal lust under the appearance of devouring parts of their bodies? Such were the indecencies of Nero. (Cassius Dio, Roman History, LXII, 13).

Rule of law only applies to Christians and Conservatives...

I think Kim Davis should issue the marriage certificates (since that is the law of the land, even if we disagree with the disgraceful way it was imposed) or resign because she morally opposes doing so, but that the government will go the step of holding her in contempt over this and jailing her is far more morally offensive.  And you can be sure what is next are civil suits, because you will be made to think and act the way they want you to act.
Cecil is that you?

Instapundit: Kim Davis is a Democrat (something the lamestream media conveniently ignores) but so what, she is a Christian opposing the state over an issue of faith and you know how that historically turns out...meanwhile Clinton and her aides get a pass and Obama selectively enforces laws. Rules of Civility only flow one way. Democrats are free to ignore any law they disagree with (without consequence)

If you think the left's demands will stop with gay marriage, you have another thing coming...

More John Roberts Fun To Come! Update: Gay Marriage Legal Everywhere

With yesterday's SCOTUScare ruling, is there going to be any surprise with the other rulings expected shortly?

I doubt it.

Update:
The only surprise is it's only a 5-4 decision: Gay Marriage Legal Everywhere  (and yeah, I know he was on the right side of this issue, he is still a tool)

I support same sex marriage, I just hate how it was accomplished. An equal protection argument never made any sense given we know equal protection clauses were never created to accomplish this. The right way to pass same sex marriage is democratically (via legislation or by voter referendum). But it's done. But the damage these decisions will have on other cases remains to be seen.

Roberts sides with the minority here (as many predicted Kennedy is the swing vote). But there seems to be tension between Roberts and Scalia.  No marriage for those two!

Roberts gives this bit of advice (too bad he didn't follow it with his SCOTUScare rulings):
If you are among the many Americans—of whatever sexual orientation—who favor expanding same-sex marriage, by all means celebrate today’s decision. Celebrate the achievement of a desired goal. Celebrate the opportunity for a new expression of commitment to a partner. Celebrate the availability of new benefits. But do not celebrate the Constitution. It had nothing to do with it.

Gay Marriage in Ireland approved by Popular Nationwide Vote

While I support same sex marriage, I do not support it being implemented through judicial fiat or subsequent gay mafia thug tactics against anyone who disagrees with them (even if they sell them stuff for their weddings).

The right way to implement same sex marriage is through democrat (vote) or legislative action. Ireland did that. Whether you agree with it or not, that is the right way to do it.

Anjem Choudary is tweeting up a storm on it (via Twitchy):

TOM comments Daniel Freeman linked to the Canadian Jeweler story noted above: Heads LGBT wins and tails Christians lose via Gay Patriot (there is no appeasing a fascist mob) (and yes Gay Patriot is a mensch)
Instapundit: Camille Paglia on feminism back in 1995 (do you see parallels with the LGBT movement), impure thoughts are not allowed because of #Tolerance and elections are better than judicial fiat

GoFundMe? Try Go F*** Yourself: The Gay Mafia cannot tolerate dissent

After the success of the Memories Pizza campaign, the Gay Mafia made sure the same effort could not happen with Sweet Cakes by Melissa or Arlene's Flowers. By pressuring Go Fund Me, the Gay Mafia managed to shut the funding campaigns for these small family businesses down.

Dissent will not be tolerated by the left. Because claimants will make up claims like they were "mentally raped" by a baker not wanting to do a cake for their wedding. This sort of bullying of people who disagree with them is intolerable. I am with Gay Patriot on this: if you throw out terms of "rape" for refusing to make a gay wedding cake, then the term does not mean anything anymore.

These business did not ever refuse to serve gay customers for being homosexual, they refused to participate in same sex wedding ceremonies because they had religious objections to that. There is a difference.

Fortunately Samaritan's Purse is stepping in.  They are raising money not only for Sweet Cakes by Melissa but also Nepal relief efforts.

The Gay Community, if they really cared about homosexual people around the world, would be focusing their efforts on stopping real persecution such as this.  And seriously, when everyone is gay, then nobody is gay. This is the insecurity and nuttiness of the gay community not recognizing the real danger out there.

Time to recognize the real enemy:
EBL: ISIS and Boko Haram are homophobic misogynist Islamic death cults

Instapundit: Same Sex at the Supreme Court Today  If a same sex couple wants to get married, shouldn't that be an issue of state law? But to say everyone has to then participate in these events is oppressive and wrong.

Passover Is Getting A Makeover This Year...

Instapundit: Eugene Volokh: Lefties retreat from the old liberal Justice Brennan/ACLU standard,When will Apple boycott homophobic places like China and Saudi Arabia?, and Obama lets China destroy reefs and militarize the South China Sea, but goes hard against Indiana pizzerias!
Instapundit: Journalistic Witchhunts, the misdirected zeal and Foucault-ness of same sex marriage proponents, and this is not Jim Crow

Rush Limbaugh: Coach K attacked for not saying anything
