Ms. Perrineau has accused Girls writer Murray Miller of rape in 2012 when she was 17 years old. She has gone to the police and filed charges. Leah Dunham is defending Murray. 

There are two sides to a story. The police are presumably investigating this. Mr. Miller is entitled to a presumption of innocence on the criminal charges that could potentially be brought against him. Why didn't Ms. Perrineau make this charges sooner? Still, it doesn't mean Miller didn't do it. That is something that has to be determined. 

But how could Dunham know if the accusations are true or not? She wasn't there?

Bill Maher is dick. For him to claim that "sunlight is the best disinfectant" and that his show lead to Milo's downfall is the worst sort of pathetic bullshit. Yes, Milo's critics on the right timed their attack after the Real Time appearance but just before CPAC.  But there was no "sunlight" aired by Bill Maher that led to this. Bill Maher is also a hypocrite.   

I remember when Maher was attacked after his 9/11 comments and the only one who defended him was Rush Limbaugh. If Maher still had any class or integrity, he would be defending Milo (you don't have to agree with someone's politics to defend their free speech).

I actually liked Jersey Boys and think Podhoretz is being a bit harsh on that Eastwood film, which while not a hit (as a film--the play was very successful) sort of addresses some of these same themes in a different way.

I have played into this a bit.  I did posts promoting American Sniper and its actors. But I have run a half dozen posts on the train wreck that is Lena Dunham. Granted, it's been news worthy as a point of contrast and as a freak show, but have I ever focused on NCIS? No. So I am rectifying that now:

Lena Dunham Rule 5

I found Girls to be written authentically.  Lena Dunham is a good writer.  I give her credit for coming up with and creating her own show.  Unfortunately the reality of Sex in the City today is not what it once was (and that was over rated when SITC was on).    She is in a lot of this show.  Let's just say Girls is not the type of show to make me resubscribe to HBO.  Ms. Dunham states she does not see sex as glamorous and frankly that message is loud in clear.  The depictions of sex on that show come off as depressing. So here is its creator and Obama supporter Lena Dunham in a Rule 5.
