Hey, it is a joke in poor taste, but it is a joke.  Lighten up.  I am with Joan on this.

So Joan's joke was OTT, but so what?  Either you laugh or you don't.  But then Joan had to make Mel Gibson her defense?  Hey, Mel Gibson must be a terrible person for saying some anti-Semitic comments a few years ago.  While I am pretty sure Mel never put any Jews in any ovens, in fact, he should die for it (at least according to Joan).  But really Mel Gibson is vilified not so much for anti-Semitism but for being conservative.  So is there any redemption or forgiveness for that in Hollywood?  Nah.  Except for a few true friends.  

As for Joan Rivers' husband losing his family to the Nazis, her husband also killed himself due to being married to Joan (oh sorry, just kidding, well not really because it is the truth).
