Matthew Kenny's Raw Vegan Lasanga

Netflix did a docu-mini series on Pure restaurant and its crazy owner Sarma Melngailis (she almost snagged Alec Baldwin pre Hilaria, which would have been interesting). Her former business partner/chef Matthew Kenny came up with some very interesting recipes, albeit being also an alleged dead beat.

Still, the raw vegan lasanga recipe is worth a try (especially since heirloom tomatoes and zuchini are in season). Thinks raw ratatouille.

Alec Baldwin's Manslaughter Trial Dismissed With Prejudice

 


Judge just ruled on prosecutor misconduct in holding back evidence. Dismissed case against Baldwin.

Wow. I did not see that coming. Interesting if this gets appealed.

For now, Killer Baldwin Goes Free.

Update:  I was watching the live feed when this happened. The evidence in question is arguably not material and a dismissal was not warranted. We will see if the Prosecutor appeals this (that office may).  Andrew Branca (as usual) had some very good takes on the law in this matter. 

Halyna Hutchins is unavailable for comment.

Not surprising, given the circumstances.

While I have some sympathy for Ms. Gutierrez-Reed, I have more sympathy for Halyna Hutchins.

What happened on that set was at a minimum reckless. She and Baldwin acted wrongfully. 

A jury may not find Baldwin criminally culpable, but Baldwin killed Halyna.
