Nancy Pelosi responds that "pride" will trump hate. Or some other pablum. 

The military is not a place to engage in social experiments/engineering in transgender pride and other nonsense, it is a fighting force. Jim Mattis is not a fan of this crap. Get rid of regulations that are hampering our ability to defeat our enemies. While I suppose there may be some transgender folks who can serve honorably without being a distraction, most of this nonsense lately is a distraction.

Chelsea "Barack" Obama Commutes Chelsea "Bradley" Manning's Sentence

DRUDGE REPORT: Sorry Snowden, you should have been transgendered...

What can you say? He was a traitor who betrayed his country. Who cares if Bradley Manning releases top secret documents that may have gotten people killed. He wanted to be a girl. So let's release him.  

I hope the intelligence community (CIA, NSA, DoD, etc.) remembers who really screwed them.  Hint: it wasn't Donald Trump.

Pastafarian at Lem's Place asks the most important question: How did Bradley Manning get top secret clearance?

There should be more courts martial and prosecutions than Bradley Manning.  How about going after the people who approved his top secret clearance?

Separated at Birth:
Patafarian goes to the real issue in the sad legacy of Bradley Manning...
Manning was a 5-foot-1, 105 pound out-and proud homosexual who enlisted during the DADT era. He once threatened his stepmother with a knife, and the police were involved, although apparently no charges were filed.  He was nearly discharged in basic training, where he complained of being bullied, was rumored to have had a breakdown, and screamed back at his drill sergeants when they would scream at him.
During his military training, he was referred to Army mental health counselors.  He was an emotional basket case. once crying for hours after watching "The Last King of Scotland."  At one point, he sent a photograph of himself dressed as a woman to his master sergeant, and he considered gender reassignment surgery.
So naturally, this guy was given top secret security clearance.

Tried to get out the Army by wearing drag...





Klinger!  Didn't work for him either.
At least Klinger was not a traitor. 

Actually King of Scotland was a good movie.  But balling for hours after seeking it?

Update:
The same thing was raised with Edward Snowden.  But arguably the government did not have the same flags in Snowden's record to tip it off how unstable he was.  Here Mannings' record just screams he is not an individual who should be trusted with anything sensitive.

Mark Steyn making way too much sense (as usual) about this NSA data mining:

Steyn has a gift of getting right to the heart of it...
One reason for the citizenry not to entrust its personal information to the government is that the big, bloated, blundering government is stupid enough to entrust it to Edward Snowden, as it was previously stupid enough to entrust it to Bradley Manning (the Wikileaks leaker). It’s only a matter of time before the halfwit leviathan entrusts it to a Major Hasan or a Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
