Free Jahar Tsarnaev Supporters demonstrating at Boston Courthouse...

Liberalism  Leftism* is a mental disorder. This story is actually over reported that what actually occurred today. There was only a dozen of so insane supporters of Jahar Tsarnaev protesting today out side the federal courthouse where he was being arraigned (there were probably more press there).  But the real story is not that there were a dozen insane people on the streets of Boston (there are lots of other insane people in Boston)--but that these protestors were unmolested and not pummeled by angry Boston residents. And rightly so, let them demonstrate and show their true craven natures to the rest of us. They should be mocked or ignored.

They sort of remind me of #FreeKate supporters.

If this is true, this was a terrible mistake by the United States and the Obama Administration, that borders on criminal neglect (by officials not following up on it).  Why is this not being questioned more in the media?

Is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev offering a "full accounting" of the crime in exchange for no death penalty?

Perhaps.  While the death penalty is justified given his crimes, it won't bring back the dead or heal the wounded. I would prefer a full accounting. A life sentence in Florence is a long time.  

The Tsarnaev's alleged mentor "Misha" interviewed...

Just on its face it seems unlikely an Armenian-Ukrainian would be an Islamic mentor of Tamerlan Tsarnaev.  This is an odd interview (it is just a summary, not an interview) and it is unclear what was asked and answered of Mikhail Allakhverdov.  

Who is Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler and why did she interfere in the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev investigation?

First of all, Jon Stewart's and the left's dishonest and disingenuous preening aside, you do not violate a detained person's rights by not immediately reading them their Miranda "rights."  It is allowed under federal rules.  There is also a 48 hour exception for public safety/emergency.  And all it means is the actual admissions (such as "I did it") may not be used against the detained suspect at trial (whether they are admissible or not would depend on context).  Nevertheless, the questioning itself is not a violation of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's civil rights.

And I agree that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, as an American citizens captured on American soil should be tried as Tim McVeigh, the Unibomber, and the Blind Sheikh were tried.  I support not designating him as an enemy combatant (had the brother Tamerlan survived being run over by Dzhokhar, I might have thought differently for Tamerlan because he was not a U.S. Citizen).  That said, I would have given the FBI the lee way of a 48 hour interrogation (given the potential danger to the public if there are others involved in this crime).

Did Magistrate Marianne Bowler do the right thing?  

Which raises the question, who sent Marianne Bowler to go Mirandize Dzhokhar Tsarnaev?  Magistrate Bowler does not work for Eric Holder or the Department of Justice.  She is an appointed federal magistrate (a junior judge in the federal system, not a confirmed Article III judge).  Did she act on her own volition or was there something more?  That is unclear.

Marianne Bowler is a Democrat appointee (politics definitely play a roll with federal judicial appointees).  Was this something set up by Eric Holder (undermining the FBI investigation in a manner that is not immediately traceable to him)?  Because given that the Russians repeatedly warned us about Tamerlan Tsarnaev (and nothing was done), is there something that Eric Holder does not want us to know?  There are a lot of questions on why more was not done to investigate Tsarnaev before this bombing took place.  

Confusion over "Miranda Rights" and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's interrogation and subsequent clamming up...

Ace, relying on Orin Kerr over at Volokh Conspiracy, does a great job explaining the wide spread confusion regarding Miranda and what it means.  So some magistrate judge (and for those of you who don't know that is the federal equivalent of a State Court commissioner or junior judge) decided to read Miranda "rights" to Dzhokhar and he stopped talking.

Will it make a big difference in Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's murder trial?  Probably not.  I do not think investigators ever intended to use his admissions of doing it against him (they have proof of his involvement).  The goal of this was to find out who else was involved in this bombing: so as to prevent future bombings.  And to make sure all culpable people involved in these murders and mayhem are rounded up and prosecuted.  And this decision by this magistrate might have a big impact on that.

It is radical Islam that turned her sons into murderers and her into an appeaser of murder.  A poisoned belief system that elevates killing children for political purposes is evil.  I am not saying all Muslims are evil (they are not), but the belief system that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev followed (and presumably Zubeidat Tsarnaev too) is a death cult just as twisted as the Manson family.  

To the extent she encouraged her sons to adopt that filth, she shares culpability.  She should go back to Russia.  We should really look long and hard who we give asylum too.

I also forgot that both Zubeidat Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev's wife Katherine Russell were arrested for shoplifting. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev sold marijuana.  Tamerlan Tsarnaev may have been involved in a previous murder of one of his friends.  The Tsarnaev family collected Massachusetts welfare while doing various under the table (or illegal things) to get extra money.  High Islamic moral values demonstrated by the Tsarnaev family.

Why am I not surprised?  

Richard Falk also blames Israel for the Boston attacks too (weird, I did not realize Israel was occupying Chechnya).  Falk even goes farther than Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.  

This is not Falk's first controversial position.  How to you think he got the UN post as a United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories the first place?  As Alan Dershowitz notes, Falk supports positions that are antisemitic. And Falk is Jewish (well his family is Jewish, think Noam Chomsky)

Kudos to Tamerlan's Boston Mosque for condemning his outburst.  I only with more Muslims of good faith stood up and against these extremists.  Are their extremists in Christianity and Judaism?  Yes, it is rare, but there are some.  But in both faiths such behavior is almost universally condemned (at least since the Reformation).

In response to AG Conservative and BobB, I would say very true, but I never would have thought Fast & Furious or Benghazi were possible either.  And we had had operatives turn on us in the war on terror. And there is something very strange with the United States government getting a tip off from (presumably) the Russians and the FBI clearing Tamerlan (given his radical jihad website and trips to Chechnya).

 
Obviously this double agent theory involving Brothers Tsarnaev is (at this point) nothing more than a theory/rumor.

The Younger Brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, ran over the older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, while Tamerlan was being handcuffed by the police and that was the cause of his death?

I knew Dzhokhar ran Tamerlan over but I thought Tamerlan was dead already.  This story just gets stranger and stranger.

Zubeidat Tsarnaev (pronounced Zu-bey-da), mother of the Brothers Tsarnaev, is a devote Muslim who thought 9-11 was created by the American Government

Zubeidat Tsarnaev is a radical Muslim herself (the apple does not fall too far from the tree):

In my last year of college I was getting a facial from her, and asking her about why she had originally come to the United States with her family about eight or ten years previously.

She told me that she and her husband had been lawyers and political activists in Russia. They had fled the country after “something that her husband did.” Her daughter had recently been divorced at this time, and her daughter’s ex-husband had taken their child to Russia, refusing to return him. Finally the child was returned.

When my mom asked Zubeidat how they had gotten the child back, she told her that “my [Zubeidat’s] husband is crazy” and everyone knew it. When he threatened the daughter’s ex-husband’s family, they returned the child.

During this facial session she started quoting a conspiracy theory, telling me that she thought 9-11 was purposefully created by the American government to make America hate Muslims. “It’s real,” she said, “My son knows all about it. You can read on the internet.”

Here is the story with more photographs.  Zubeidat Tsarnaev is also a shoplifter (I thought Muslims frowned on stealing, that must be a set up plot too).  And I do not consider all devote Muslims radicals, but when they are devote and claim that 9-11 was a plot by the American government to frame Muslims, I start to have some serious suspicions.  Of course the 9-11 Truther part alone and I might think she was a Rosie O'Donnell/The View fan, but most devote Muslims have issues with Ms. O'Donnell's personal relationship choices.

The FBI investigated this Tamerlane Tsarnaev (on a tip from a foreign government) and cleared him in 2011?  That was a missed opportunity to stop this attack.  Tsarnaev when to Chechnya last year and that did not set off any alarms?  Jack Tapper reports he has asked the FBI why and there is no response.

If you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it (including how crime soared in Massachusetts after gun laws). Tamerlane (also known as Timor) was on of the most bloodthirsty leaders of ancient history. He was known for making a throne on a pile of skulls from his enemies and leaving piles of skulls outside cities he sacked as warning and kept the the Ottoman Sultan in a cage and had his naked wives serve his guests in front of him (and you thought Game of Thrones was over the top).  And Tamerlane Tsarnaev appears to be named after him. In response to the Chechen President, Tamerlane Tsarnaev was named after a historical figure from your part of the world.

An answer to David Sirota's (and Chris Matthew's) prayers:  These murderous brothers Tsarnaev are literally Caucasian (from the Caucus Mountains)

The Middle East reaction to most of this is concern with being called terrorists or terrorist appeasers.  Well if the shoe fits...

Tamerlane Tsarnaev was convicted of domestic violence, but was not deported back to Chechnya.  Why not?  Doesn't the Obama Administration care about women?
