737 Max 8 Grounded

I am not surprised this happened. Yes the Euros are all pissed off about Airbus failures and looking to dog pile on Boeing. But there may, in fact, be an issue with this particular aircraft. 

Better to be safe that sorry. If there is no problem with the aircraft, the news cycle continuing is causing a lot of damage to Boeing (the damage, however, by grounding it will be short lived). If there is a problem with the aircraft, you cannot justify flying it and it is far better to get in front of a potential problem now. Err on the side of caution.

This may just be a teething problem with a new aircraft,
but better safe than sorry.
