Separated at Birth Prosecutions: Mike Nifong and...?

Ace reminds us of the injustice of the Amanda Knox case with a book suggestion...which prompts this Separated at Birth:

Mike Nifong, Disgraced Prosecutor and...
Duke LaCrosse Case
Giuliano Mignini, (Alleged Disgraced) Prosecutor
Amanda Knox Case

Injustice in Perugia:  Mignini (allegedly) keeps black lists of his enemies.  Am I being too mean (allegedly) to Mike Nifong?

Prosecutors Nifong and Mignini (allegedly) have a lot in common.  Miginini and Prosecutor Angela Corey (George Zimmerman) (allegedly) have a lot in common too.

It is (alleged) that Mignini pursued the Knox prosecution in an attempt to redeem his damaged reputation.  Mignini, the (alleged) Clown of Perugia.

Costa Concordia Capitano "Lord Jim" Francesco Schettino claims he fell into the life boat by accident!

Capitano "Lord Jim" Francesco Schettino, Coward and Plagiarist
No, you cannot make this up.  Captain Francesco Schettino claims he "fell" into the lifeboat and did not abandon the ship.  Well I guess you could make it up if you were Joseph Conrad (here is the Wikipedia* link to those under 30 who do not know who Lord Jim or Joseph Conrad are).
The Other McCain and Smitty (who is in the U.S. Navy) puts the blame on feminism and cowardice.

But of course there is that other theory of who really caused this disaster...

La strega Amanda Knox  il malocchio.
* Wikipedia is down on January 18, 2012 to protest the U.S. Congress' SOPA legislation.

UPDATE II:  Mark Steyn suggests when the West goes down it will look a lot more like the Costa Concordia than the Titanic.  Of course, I think we all noticed this Costa Concordia disaster is a pretty good metaphor of  how the EU and the Euro as been navigated.
