Total eclipses are totally fascinating, where ever they occur in the world. This one was very remote and accordingly unseen over much of its path. Folks in Chile and Argentina got a special treat.

Monkey Puzzle Tree: Araucaria araucana
Ten Thousand Trees asks why they are called monkey puzzle trees, but that is because a monkey trying to climb (or get out of one) would be puzzled not to be spiked by the leaves.
