I haven't seen John Ford's 1948 Fort Apache in a while, but I watched it the other night and it a great film.  Shirley Temple does a great job as the ingenue (although there was not much chemistry between her and her husband John Agar). And that smile of his above is freaky.

Shirley Temple passed away.  She was 85 years old.  RIP.  Shirley Temple Black was an example of how a child star could be a success at film and go on to be an accomplished, balanced and happy person outside the entertainment industry.
