Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri: A Review with bonus Abbie Cornish

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri was a very good movie.  Good performances, good writing. I was not surprised by the acting, the casting was excellent. McDormand, Harrelson, and Rockwell consistently give great performances (and McDormand and Rockwell deserved their Oscars). There is great casting of minor characters too.

When I saw in the credits it was Martin McDonagh who wrote and directed this film, it explained the dark humor. Seven Psychopaths and In Bruges did not always deliver, but had their moments. McDonagh's plays, however, are excellent and offer explore similar themes.

I recommend the film.

Rotten Tomatoes: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Powerline:  Inclusion riders, quotas, and confusion (I did not watch the Oscars, so I missed her speech)

Abbie Cornish plays the wife of Harrelson's character, Sheriff Willoughby. She does not have a major roll in this film, but she is good too.
