Ted Cruz's proposed amendment may be the key to the GOP passing Obamacare repeal and replace...

I do not want Uncle Sam groping and poking around where he shouldn't be...

I begged that the GOP consider us a way of opting out of Obamacare. Ted Cruz may have done it with his proposed amendment. Since we apparently do not have the votes for full repeal of Obamacare (which I would prefer) at least let those of us who do not want to participate find alternative and presumably cheaper health insurance. The Cruz amendment is being considered by the CBO.

Of course, if you anticipate lots of pre-existing conditions and needed coverage, you are probably going to be facing higher premiums.  But given how Obamacare has played out (with very high costs and deductibles that go up every year), that is true already.

  1. As I said elsewhere, The One True Ted has figured out what all those "smart" NeverTrumpers can't.
