American Buffalo



I liked the series, despite the preaching about racism. Not that there wasn't racism involved in wiping out the buffalo (there was plenty of that) but there was also plenty of "racism" dished out by the Commanches and other tribes too. I do not want it ignored, I  just find it tedious being preached about white racism by Ken Burns and mostly white commentators. Overall it was a good series and I did not mind the pro Indian sentiments (that is appropriate), just the overly virtuous tone was a bit much. 

There was a lot of focus on Quanah Parker. The show those former buffalo hunters, ranchers, and other Americans who recognized what was going on helped save the species from extinction.
