Game of Thrones promised three "Holy Shit" moments. We got two already (Shireen's death and Hodor's story). Last night was probably not the third one. It was promised at the very end. So ending this major story line and exesstenial threat (the Night King) at this point, just to have it shift to typical political-military power drama between feudal houses for three more episodes makes no sense. That does not reconsile. Something else will have to happen. It will be interesting to see how the show runners wrap this one up.
