President Trump: Don't Abandon Our Kurdish Allies In Syria


Do not trust Erdogan on this issue, he will try to wipe out the Kurds if given the chance. 

We benefit from helping the Kurds. We definitely should not abandon another ally like this. That does not mean we have to keep troops on the ground in Syria indefinitely to do it (President Trump's instinct on avoiding war and standing troops in harm's way is the right one).  But we should not sell them out the Russians, Erdogan, and Bashar Assad. This is nothing new, Turks hate independent Kurds. 

Make it clear to Erdogan, Russia and Assad we are not abandoning the Kurds. If the pull out is combined with an open effort not to abandon the Kurds (and support from other allies)--Erdogan does not get what he wants.
