This is the insane batshit crazy world we have allowed our country to turn into. If you are a public employee or work at a public university or college, you can say whatever you want and how ever vile. It is fully protected, your job will not be in jeopardy.
William Rainford sends out a tweet that he questions Swetnick's allegations (which by the way are fever dreams, absolutely insane, and beyond being taken objectively seriously)--and he is immediately suspended and chastised by Catholic University. Swetnick may be a victim of of mental illness and hooking up with a corrupt exploitive assclown like Avenatti--but Brett Kavanaugh did nothing to her (by the way she does not even allege he did). Rainford's general observations about the age differences of the accuser and accused are absolutely spot on. You can disagree if you like.
Catholic University can also spare us the pieties about protecting the victims of sexual abuse, the Catholic Church lost its moral authority on that issue sometime ago. There is nothing wrong with that tweet above. If the school wanted him to clarify this was his opinion alone, fair enough. But to suspend him like this?
I am also sure Catholic University would have done nothing if William Rainford attacked Brett Kavanaugh. The hypocrisy is apparent. I would also be happy if David French defended William Rainford, but I am not expecting much.
EBL: What the Democrats are doing now is way bigger than Kavanaugh, Think Tenure Will Protect You? Not if you lean the wrong way..., and Free Speech and Alinsk: Fighting Back In The War of Ideas
Instapundit: Believe the Evidence, Catholic University: Taking Sides and Prosecutor: Charges against Kavanaugh exceedingly weaker than "He said, she said."
Powerline: Grassley to Sanders: Drop Dead
Rainford only questioned Swetnick:
It's impossible to read through all the glaring inconsistencies in Ford's ever-changing story and believe her story is credible. At best, she's confused. At worst, she lied. https://t.co/UjtMveT3ju— Sean Davis (@seanmdav) October 1, 2018
