Lefty Rocker Steven Van Zandt Defends Pence: Lin Manuel Miranda and Hamilton Cast Should Apologize

"He was their guest. You protect your guest. Don't embarrass them."

Good for Steven Van Zandt for speaking out on this.  He was a huge supporter of Obama and Hillary, and is no fan of Trump and Pence, but he recognizes bullying when he sees it.

On a far more somber and profound note, AoSHQ and Weird Dave remembers another Republican

DRUDGE REPORT: HAMILTON

It is not the message (they are entitled to have their concerns) but form of the delivery that was the problem. The high 5ing of cast during audience boos during the show is also not reflected here...

American Power Blog: Hamilton cast boos Mike Pence

Pence was greeted by boos from audience members when he attended "Hamilton" in New York City on Friday night. As Pence exited, a cast member delivered a spoken message to Pence directly. President-elect Trump has tweeted repeatedly about the incident this weekend, but Pence told Fox News Sunday he told his family the boos were "what freedom sounds like."
"I did hear what was said from the stage and I could tell you, I wasn't offended by what was said," Pence said on Fox. "I'll leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it."
He continued, "I just want to reassure people that what President-elect Donald Trump said on Election Night, he absolutely meant from the bottom of his heart: He is preparing to be the president of all of the people of the United States of America."
Hot Air: Nobody won (actually Pence won and Trump won by pushing Trump U out of the news) and in the closet on Broadway!

  1. The whole thing was manufactured SWPL. Please, the fantasies they harbor. I'm telling you, if the Man from Mars observed our FAKE NEWS MEDIA, he would think Blacks are engineers, are suburbanites of towering intellect, are scientists, are pilots and now, fabulous and brilliant financial figures and one of the founders of the United States. Mars-Man would see nothing of the affirmative actions, the self-hating Whites, would see nothing of the murder and mayhem Blacks represent. They and their White Liberal allies as constructed in the media are a foul and miserable and destructive lot of monsters. Not sure how they are to be stopped, but the Sons of Bitches have a lotta damned gall expecting ME to be happy about their destruction. F-That. And F all of them, too. Black Hamilton? Why not a Black Neil Armstrong, a Black Lincoln, a Black George Washington, a Black Steve Jobs and a Black Bill Gates and Zuckerburg? We can print it all in the history books and the teachers will be happy to tell it that way. Thanks, Van Zandt, but these folks exist in another dimension, nothing matters but their notions, however false. That's ok, their fixin' to get a wake up. Here's hoping Trump doesn't go soft.

    1. I disagree. It is not a racial thing, not really. Trump and Pence are not racists (although the left wants to make it so to push a political agenda). These are theater folk: this is a gay thing and a liberal thing. They hate Mike Pence because he had the temerity of taking positions they don't like.

And that is ok. They have the right to disagree. But not went someone is going to see a show that costs four figures for a ticket. The Laura Ingraham response is spot on for this: "Shut up and Sing." There is a time and place for anything, but not in the middle (or the end) of the show.

  3. $1700 Pence paid for that piece of Broadway. He should have waited until that merry band of faggots brought their show to Trump's White House. Oh, wait, Trump won't have faggots in his White House.

    1. Trump does not care about that one way or the other. Anyway, what about Milo?

This whole thing was a gift to Trump and Pence. Pence came off bigger.
