Not that I wish to sound pessimistic, but... In the USA, just how many males over the age of 16 still willingly play Soccer or maintain anything other than a passing interest in the sport? Europeans and South Americans who do not have a Football team to follow seem to be the only ones that the FIFA marketing is geared for.
ReplyDeleteIt is not like Europe or South America, but soccer does have followers in the USA. As for winning, the USA is a long shot (at best). Spain, France, and England are favored (in that order), followed by Argentina and Brazil.
