A newer adaptation of James Clavell's Shōgun. If you are old enough, you might remember the Shōgun adaptation from1980 (which was filmed in Japan).
This new version is not bad. One bit of criticism: While Japan landscape in the 1600s was no doubt less developed and beautiful, I doubt it looked just like British Columbia. But once you get past that, it is a good production.
