ReplyDeleteThe Bangles were a guilty pleasure when Different Light hit the airwaves and MTV. The sound was fresh, and Susanna Hoffs was gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThen came the later songs with titles like In Your Room, and the videos with Susanna doing the “open mouth slow eye blink” look. They were pretty much pitching their music and videos to teenies, and being in my mid-twenties that was a strong turn-off.
