The Whale



A sad and depressing story. It was well acted and Brendan Fraser deserved best actor. All the characters were well developed. It was an interesitng take on redemption and honesty. It was based on a play by the same name (warning spoilers).

Given Brendan Fraser's denouncement of Hollywood--I could not help but thinking this movie was a message back. It is not a movie about abuse or "me too", but more of a big tortured performance that gets an Oscar despite Fraser pushing back against abuse in that industry.
