  1. I love Maureen O'Hara. A fun movie that sadly has little relationship to the truth. The clown Jefferson said he would not pay ransom for hostages - - - but he ended up paying ransom for hostages. The Americans also abandoned our Arab allies to their fate and sailed away - - - a pattern that still happens today. General William Eaton commanding the attack was later bribed by Jefferson with $5,000 to testify against Vice President Arron Burr.

    The truth, with the same cast, would be a better movie.
