Murdaugh Murders 😬 Update: Alex Murdaugh Found Guilty



I have not followed the Alex Murdaugh murder trial, but with it being in the news I did check out the mini series on Netflix. The mini series is focused on the drunken boat incident happening in 2019. It is alleged that Paul Murdaugh had a drinking problem and it led to the impaired boat crash that killed Mallory Beach.

The current trial is about the father, Alex Murdaugh, alleged to have killed his wife Maggie Murdaugh and their son Paul Murdaugh. Alex Murdaugh claims some social media vigilante killed his son, but there are a lot of serious inconsistencies with his story. The series, while confusing in regards to current events, is interesting in setting up the events of several years ago.  

Oh, there are also issues regarding the death of the Gloria Satterfield, who was a nanny and housekeeper at the Murdaugh home. She allegedly died from an accidential fall. Her family recovered the $4.3 million that Alex Murdaugh recovered by suing himself! That is some creative lawyering. Turns out Alex Murdaugh took out $4.3 million dollar policies against Gloria Satterfield. 


Alex Murdaugh may have hired Curtis Eddie Smith to try to stage a shooting of Alex Murdaugh. It may have been either an "assisted suicide-murder" or possibly a way for Alex Murdaugh to direct blame against Curtis Eddie Smith for his shooting and also the murder of his wife and son.  

To say the least, it is complicated.
