I am generally a big Neil Gaiman fan. I enjoy his writing, but adaptations of his work are hit and miss. I liked the graphic novel Sandman(which to be fair had a lot of gay characters), but this Netflix adaptation is way gay. As in you'd think the population of the world was at least 50% homosexual and transsexual (and the other half mostly gay curious) the way the characters are oriented.
Hey what ever floats your boat. In real life I do not care that much about it on an individual basis. I get why every production now has to have a sympathetic gay character and relationship (because gays in the industry demand that in Hollywood--even if the public for the most part don't care that much), but jeeze louise this is at the point of being completely distracting.
Still, the overall story is still fairly close to the source material. If you have Netflix, it is worth a watch, but it could have been better.
