The Last Movie Stars



I appreciate Ethan Hawke is a bit fan of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, but the way this is done is a weird documentary style. Rather than focusing on Newman and Woodward, it is a lot of Ethan Hawke and his friends opining on them and reading quotes from both of them (and others). They were doing it during the Covid shutdowns--which explains some of it. Even though everyone means well, let's just say it is not that effective. I am a big fan of Newman and Woodward and I was into the history of their early career, but I could not get into this presentation. Meh.
