🥧𝝅 Dinah Shore: Shoo Fly Pie and Apple Pan Dowdy 🥧𝝅

Shoo fly pie for 𝝅 day? A great pie made out a minimum of ingredients (and works well in winter when fresh berries were not available). You hardly see it anymore (mainly because you can get ingredients for pretty much any pie any time of year), but it is still well worth doing. The origins are with the Pennsylvania Dutch, it has migrated beyond.

Shoo fly pie was popular in the depression, given it was made of simple inexpensive staples. Given that Joe Biden is bringing depression economics back, time to revisit this one.
