The Great Fire 🔥 of 1666

I liked this production. Great actors, good historical fiction, dramatizing what happened in London on the night of September 2,1666. Surviving the plague of 1665, what could go wrong? 😬 London had experienced a hot dry summer (climate change even then🤦🏻‍♀️) and a bakery 🍞 fire got out of control...

The fire did allow the rebuilding of London, with a spirit of science and enlightenment behind the rebuilding effort (Sir Christopher Wren was one of the principles behind the effort). Still, while the death toll was not that high, approximately 70,000 were left homeless in the immediate aftermath of the fire.
