The Monkees were known as the "pre-fab four." Perhaps undeservedly so. But Mike Nesmith, post Monkees, made some very memorable music, especially the first Mike Nesmith and the First National Band's "Magnetic South" LP. So many gems on that LP, Joanne the best known of them.
ReplyDeleteHe was extremely intelligent, as well as witty. Sad to see his passing, but his music will live on. Quite a legacy.
Rest in Peace Michael, and thank you for the great tunes.
