Raised By Wolves: A Review

Season 1 is focused on two androids raising human children on Kepler 22(b).  The planet is supposedly an "Eden" but in reality is (of course) far from that. There are also all sorts of biblical, Roman, and ancient cultural references.

I like science fiction, and generally stuff done by Ridley Scott, but this is a difficult series to get into. It is not horrible (visually it is sort of interesting and the acting is ok), but like Prometheus, the show thinks it is smarter than it actually is and is plodding. Given all the streaming possibilities out there (including catching up on shows you have not seen in a while) this is not a recommended "must see" by me. It is on HBO Max.

In the end, you just don't care that much for anyone in this show. I guess the bottom line is don't let your kids be raised by atheists or crazy cultists either.
