By fighting for a replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, my prediction is Republicans will gain ground in current races in the House, Senate, and White House. Regardless of how this impacts the election, picking a SCOTUS replacement is too important to wait. Hypocrisy over not voting in Merick Garland in 2016? Bullshit. If the Democrats controlled both the Senate and Presidency in 2016, they would have pushed through the most far left justice they could have gotten away with. That is how things are.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg could have retired and let Barack Obama pick her successor. She chose to take a chance and let Hillary do it. It has not turned out as she planned.
Will the world end if Donald Trump picks Amy Coney Barrett, Barbara Lagoa, or Stepanie Dawkins Davis, no, but it is still critically important to conservatives. They are voting in November and backing down to Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi will not appease them. I am glad Senate Republicans are mostly backing the President on this (even Mitt).
That debacle that Democrats put Brett Kavanuagh and his family through is still raw. It was lies. They will do it again in the next few weeks to who ever President Trump picks. Bring it on. Let the voters decide.
