A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood: A Review

I was uncertain how they were going to pull this off (without the typical Hollywood cynicism)--but refreshingly they did. Tom Hanks captures Fred Rogers. The movie portrays Mr. Rogers accurately and fairly. Well written, acted, and directed. This is a very good film and (assuming you liked Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood) I recommend you go see it.

I recommend you read the Esquire articles that inspired the movie. While dramatized for this story--many of its scenes are inspired by real life interactions and events of Fred Rogers' life.
