This is potentially very good news.
There are a lot of "ifs" with this deal. The biggest being will the Kurds agree to it? That said, I would not focus too much on the rhetoric (Turkey and Erdoğan have to save face) than what actually happens oin the ground. If the assult stops and violence subsides--it is a good thing.
