The Scottish Play: August 7, 1606

Macbeth was first performed August 71606 at Hampton Court for King James I

Lady Macbeth was a piece of work.

I didn't care for Lady Macbeth, but liked Florence Pugh's performance: Midsommer and Outlaw King

  1. Thanks for that. Mme and I saw an excellent production at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre a couple of years ago with 30ish, blonde, quite tasty Chaon Cross as Lady M. The Ms are up-and-comers, so there’s no reason they shouldn’t be played by young, attractive actors, The special effects were by Teller, of Penn and Teller. They were pretty effective, although not as spectacular as the tricks he created for a CST production of The Tempest a couple of years earlier.
