Midterms: What color wave is coming in November?

Some of you likely have friends and family on social media who are Democrats. I do too. I have noticed something curious looking at their pages. Most are still Democrats and still voting that way, but a surprising number of women (who I know are left leaning or at least Democrat) are saying things like they believe Kavanaugh, or they feel sorry for what he is going through, or politicians are using people like Ford and Kavanaugh. It is rare when like minded people on Facebook or Instagram buck the positions their friends take (especially on politics).

Right now there is more rage on the right over these events. That doesn't mean things can't change (and change quickly).  If Kavanaugh is hopefully confirmed in the near future, there is a danger of Republicans and right leaning Independents getting complacent (and the left being fired up in anger).

Anecdotal? Sure. But it reminded me of this particular movie scene:

Don't be complacent. This is a critical midterm in November and the side most motivated will win.

EBL: This is way bigger than Kavanaugh, The Battle for the Midterms, Kanye at SNL, and The Kavanaugh Hearings

AoSHQ: Christine Blasey wrote a paper on self hypnosis to recover memories?

Powerline: Trump WV Rally and Grassley to Sanders: Drop Dead

TOM: Mitch McConnell: Kavanaugh Voter This Week!

Lem's Place: Trump Energy and One Week Granted

AoSHQ/J.J. Sefton: Enema of the People

TWJ: Candace Owens attacks Jeff Flake

Mark Steyn: The Turning Point

  1. How many of those women have sons? I've seen a lot of comments regarding the idea a lot of women can see their own sons being railroaded like Brother Bret (not to mention their brothers, nephews, husbands, fathers).

I've also seen a lot of sentiment, MeToo notwithstanding, regarding their skepticism regarding Dr Crazy's story, not to mention her act on TV.

It's like The bump in support for Trump among blacks and Hispanics. It's like WalkAway among kids.

I'll say it again. The way the Demos have been acting the past 2 years is not going over well. The pollsters can hide it all they want, but a lot of tactics that used to be covered up are out in the open and people don't seem to like it.

    1. I concur with every point you are making. I would still encourage every right leaning person I know not to be complacent. We need to fight back and we need to vote.

  2. I think more and more people are waking up to what the democratic party has become since it left me in the '80's. witness the walk away movement. check out how popular Trump is with the black community. polls show the dems are losing ground with millennial men. and women of all flavors are unconfortable with how ford has been victimized by Feinstein and company.

add to all that, if people remember to vote their pocketbook (some pointed reminders may be helpful here) the democratsd are toast in 2018.

  3. The Demos left a lot of American patriots in the 60s. That's how Nixon was elected.

The Demos left a lot of American patriots in the 80s. That's how Reagan was elected.

The Demos left a lot of American patriots in the 00s. That's how Dubya was elected.

People keep realizing what Rs and Conservatives knew all along. Demos are not nice people.
