The Alaska inland passage where cruise ships travel is essentially a marine highway. There is a lot of traffic. Unless you weighed her down, it would not have taken long for her to have been found (and Alaskan, Coast Guard, and FBI crime investigators know a murder when they see it). But the blood over the room and him would have been a "dead" giveaway.
