I thought the Trump Sanders debate was a brilliant idea. Apparently Donald Trump has pulled the plug on it. Trump should have let the DNC pull the plug on this (do you think the rigged DNC would let Bernie embarrass Hillary). And if it went forward, I would have been YUGE. And think of the money they would have raised for women's health issues.
Yes there is always a risk with a debate, but if Trump can't handle Sanders he shouldn't be President. A missed opportunity. Sad.

What if Trump is thinking about Sanders for VP? One way or another, Hillary has the nomination locked up - Sanders would be perfect for the role. Get all the hipster vote and it is not like the VP has any actual power anyway...

ReplyDeleteWhere to begin. Do you think that is a good thing? I doubt Trump would propose it, but do you think Bernie would ever agree to that? The VP does not do a lot, until something happens to the President. So even if this were the plan, how does a debate stop it? If they can't debate together, how can they serve together.
Trump would tear Sanders limb from limb in any debate. Sanders would have no credibility after this.
ReplyDeleteSanders has the sound-bites but he is pitifully innumerate. Trump knows how to project an image and the _value_ of that image to the general public. This way, he keeps Sanders' image of being for the little man intact and brings all of his followers after Crooked Clinton gets the nomination.
I do not think that we have a 'good thing' in this election. It is time to hold our noses and vote against Hillary.
