Harriet Tubman: Guns, Freedom and Republican Rule 5

Snopes is going crazy with a FALSE on this meme

This was supposed to be the left's big moment, bumping slave owning Andrew Jackson for a black woman. Turns out Harriet Tubman had some characteristics the left does not want to embrace, such as carrying a gun and not being afraid to use it and being a Republican. Those "racist conservatives" who wanted to kill Tubman, you mean Democrats? The same ones who became gun controlling KKK members later on?

But to be fair to the lying snake at Snopes, he does raise one important point, that photograph above is actually Mary "Stagecoach" Fields, First African American U.S. postal carrier A very cool and an impressive Montana lady in her own right and a good friend of Helena, Montana's Gary Cooper (who was also a conservative and a bit of a ladies man).

Harriet Tubman would have certainly approved...
THE GOAL OF THE NATIONAL AFRICAN AMERICAN GUN ASSOCIATION IS TO HAVE EVERY AFRICAN AMERICAN INTRODUCED TO FIREARM USE FOR HOME PROTECTION, COMPETITIVE SHOOTING, AND OUTDOOR RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. WE ARE A CIVIL RIGHTS ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON SELF PRESERVATION OF OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH ARMED PROTECTION AND COMMUNITY BUILDING.

And we can't discuss African American women and guns without discussing this fine actress:
