Good for her.  Marriott was in the wrong.

  1. Good for her. I read the assessment of what she might actually see, and I doubt she'll even get it. But we know about what happened to her because she is popular enough to be recognized. The clown that committed the crime likely did the same against other women, who fortunately may never have found out, or when they did, lacked the resources to do anything about it. If we had real justice, the perp would daily be stripped bare and forced to walk around the prison yard that way. I'm not supporting prison rape, rather he should be forced to understand the crime that he committed. As for Marriott, they are not the first company to be held responsible for the employees they hired.

    1. Marriott (the hotel chain) got out on summary judgment, liability goes to the franchise owner of that particular hotel. As you read the liability is mostly going to the perpetrator, who is in prison and will likely never pay. Still, Marriott's name and reputation is damaged by this.

Idiotic move by defense attorneys to say her earning potential was helped by this mess. The jury was obviously not impressed with that argument.
