Hykos = Hebrew?

Chip Ahoy had an interesting post over at Lem's Place on an Egyptian Stele and controversy in Egyptology and archeology.  Given Passover is just a few weeks away, it is never too soon to comment on it.
Was Moses Hykos?
Let my Hykos Go!
 Never miss an opportunity for some Anne Baxter:

Hot for Hykos?

  1. The Hyksos, according to Simcha Jacobovici, were the original Hebrews.

    He places the Exodus at the same time as the Santorini eruption (which neatly explains the plagues), but wrecks the Yul Brynner as Ramses thing.

    If you buy Freud and "Moses and Monotheism", there was some cross-pollination of Hebrew and Egyptian thinking on religion.

    PS Anne Baxter defined over the top.
