Joe Biden is trying to take credit, but it was Donald Trump's pending presidency that got this done (in making Hamas think it better get it done). The problem is most of the hostages are already dead. Hamas is not destroyed. Israel is releasing a lot of convicted terrorists. I can not see how Hamas does not breach this agreement (eventually). We will see how this turns out, but it is far from over.  

Israel wants to save as many hostage lives as it can, even if it is only 23 living hostages. Trump wants living American hostages released. That it why this deal is going forward.

No, it’s not that Israel doesn’t want a deal, it’s that Israel wants its hostages to stay alive.

Hamas, on the other hand, wants to be rewarded for murdering the hostages.
