The Appalachia areas of West NC and East TN should not have seen what they did from the storm. Something else caused that to hit them as it did not come up through SC and lower parts of NC. It looks to me like it was a man-made cause storm that hit specific areas of mineral rich areas that local people were stopping companies from accessing or expanding the mines. It is a lot easier to get access when there are no people to block you.
ReplyDeleteI am going to go with the mountains channeling the storm (with the valleys then channeling the flood waters through places people live). But as some like to remind us--never let a disaster go to waste. The manmade part is how they stopped aid getting to the people in the path of this storm.
