Here is the dope on grass fed vs. grain fed beef.
Not all grass fed beef is the same. Poor grass = poor beef. Tuscan beef, Chianina, is almost always grass fed, aged about 20 months, and top quality. Irish beef is also top quality--due to the lush green grass year round in Ireland (there is fresh grass even in the winter)
Similarly very high quality very marbled grain fed beef is usually what is served in most high end steak houses. Waygu Japanese beef is usually grain feed (although some are grass fed).
Regardless of grass vs. grain fed, he beef is as good as the quality of what it is fed.
