Interesting article by Mike Huckabee (worth reading), but while I agree with what he proposes, it doesn't go far enough. We have to give people graduating from high school and college the opportunity to earn the fruits of capitalism. That starts with tearing down socialism, stop funding failing policies, and treating socialism and its programs as the cancer they are. It will require almost complete tear down of the federal system. There is little will to do so now by our politicians, because there is too much short term political gain and grift in it.
So socialism continues to grow exponentially. It is a malignant parasitic tumor, which will eventually kill the host.
I fear, like most things, people learn the hard way. Through their failures. The lesson regarding what we have been doing to the economy for forty years will be a painful one.
I agree! Let's start with no more government funding of roadworks, utilities or healthcare. Eliminate unions, minimum wage, labor laws! Filthy socialism. No more bailouts or too-big-to-fail! No emergency aid to areas hit by weather, they should have known better, lived somewhere smarter! Make insurance of all kinds illegal, it is socialistic to spread risk and costs!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you come up with this nonsense?
DeleteAt the big SEC college here they have a new apartment building that went in across the river, luxury suites, hi speed internet, cable, gym, pool... the sign outside advertises "student housing, the lifestyle you deserve"... students. On Mom and Dads dime, 13k/yr tuition at this school. Its the idea that they are appealingbto the sense of entitlement kids/people have today, because that IS how they think. I'm 18, done nothing yet in life but graduate high school (not a high bar these days), and I DESERVE a gym, pool, concierge service and starbucks in the lobby. I EARNED IT.
ReplyDeleteSo. the kids want socialism. ok. distribute their tuition to those less fortunate for a start. Grades? drop their grades and give to free points to those who dont have enough to pass.
