NY Post: Russian Soldier "begs for mercy" for "genocide"

Genocide is a strong word and I do not think it applies in Ukraine (however brutal Putin has been do date). It is true, however, that Putin wants to crush Ukrainian national identity. 

This does show that this war is likely unpopular back home. One of the mistakes of the West is cutting off media in Russia. More news, even from biased sorces like Facebook and CNN, is better. While Putin and some in the West want war, I am sure most Russians and Ukrainian, and people of common sense do not.
