I am for people having the freedom to make their own medical decisions.

There is always risk. You get vaccinated, you might have complications. With out the experimental gene therapy vaccine you might get a serious infection or die. You can get vaccinated and still might get sick and die of Covid. You get to choose what risks you face. Otherwise, what is the point?  Do you want to be "safe" or do you want to be free? The first choice, BTW, will not make you safe. I am not saying taking the vaccine is the wrong decision (it is unclear what the right decision is--you have to make that decision), I am saying compelling everyone to take the vaccine is definitely the wrong decision.
