The Met Opera tonight is Nixon in China. John Adams wrote this not as a parody, he considered Richard Nixon going to China a heroic act. So how has globalization worked out? As with all big changes, there were both risks and benefits.
We are now facing this Wuhan Coronavirus which, at a minimum tells us we still have a long way to go with China. This is not the first pandemic to originate from China. We need to figure out ways to minimize that risk going forward.
