This is very interesting. 50,000 years ago is not very long at all. That these early humans got to the Philippines is significant (I do not believe there were any land bridges in the past to these islands from the mainland). They did not appear to last once modern humans showed up (about 40,000 years ago).
There is no evidence at this time that this particular species was closely related like Neanderthals and Densovians (who likely interbred with Cromagnon people). Still, it is facinating stuff.
