AMC's The Terror: A Review

The Terror (2018)

Being fans of Ciarán Hinds and Tobias Menzies, as well as executive producer Ridley Scott, I thought we might get good things from AMC's The Terror. The first episode was aired last night and so far so good.  I am not sure this can work as a multi season series, but we will see.

Given how lame The Walking Dead has become (it's like they turned the writing over to shuffling zombies), it is good for AMC to branch out with new material.  The Terror is based off of Dan Simmons (of Hyperion) fictionalized account of Captain Sir John Franklin's lost expedition of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror to the Arctic, in 1845–1848, to locate the Northwest Passage.

I do not know if the entire series will deliver like the premier, but it appears to be a well done and well written show. The acting is excellent. It is worth watching.
