American Thinker: Utah Monument was a reward to a Clinton Donor
Or as Paul Harvey would say: "And now for the rest of the story..."
Do you think Bill Clinton ever really cared about the environment? Politically designating that monument was a win for him. He appeased Al Gore and the environmentalists in the Democrat Party. Bill also rewarded a big donor. So what if lands held in trust for Utah school children would be put off limits to benefit a wealthy Indonesian donor and his corporate interests? Pwshaw! What did Utah ever do for Bill Clinton.
And Donald Trump reversed that, for Utah's benefit. And don't buy the hype from the left--all this decision does it give Utah more power to control resources in Utah. By Trump's decision, the federal government is giving more control back to the State of Utah.

You misunderstand! Everything belongs to the Federal Government! The ratchet only turns one way. Giving up Federal control of anything, no matter how small, is unthinkable to the Left.
