MSNBC has been lefty partisan as usual, but seeing Chris Matthews freaking out over what is happening is entertaining in a lesser sort of way. I can only take MSNBC in short spurts. NBC News is providing a lot of coverage.
The media have been called more on their bias and maybe that is helping. There is a lesson here, by playing less partisan, CNN has a chance to make a lot of money.
Fox News has been...distracted.

TOM: Did we watch the same speech? CNN went (mostly) back to old form after Donald Trump's speech. I knew it was successful when Van Jones freaked out.
Fox has been terrible. They play about a minute of a speech, then cut to the talking heads, instead of letting us hear what's going on. It's so bad that we switched over to MSNBC. At least they were showing the entire speeches.

DeleteI haven't watched. But I did see MSNBC do the bit of hyping a speech (as if they were covering it) and then cut away to the panel. It was actually the pre announcement showcase with Trump and Pence. They covered Pence, then talked, mentioned Trump was coming up, showed Trump step up, and then cut back to panel.
ReplyDeleteTo be as kind as possible; I'm not sure this is bias as much as being jaded by the routine campaign speeches. I doubt Trump said anything new on that stump, so why not talk about Pence's speech further. And until Ted, the RNC speeches were predictable. Cruz's speech should have been about unity. I understand why he didn't give that speech, but if he didn't want to give it; he should have never walked up to the podium.
